This year was full of changes, one of the best being my new position at the Atlanta Humane Society. I've gotten to see first-hand their dedication to saving the lives of homeless animals, and caring for them until they find their forever families and homes.
I am excited to be walking in the Walk for the Animals. It's a chance for me to raise awareness and give back to an organization that has helped me in many ways.
Booomer was our 1 year-old foxhound, rescued off the side of a highway. Sweet and shy, we fell in love with him for 6 months before cicumstances changed: he was diagnosed with heartworm. We surrendered him into the Atlanta Humane Society's care where they shouldered the cost of his lengthy treatment without blinking an eye.
The Atlanta Humane Soceity provides heartworm (and many other medical treatments) to hundreds of dogs and cats each year. I hope you can join me for the walk or donate to support me and the animals we will save.
You can help in two ways:
Join me by participating in the Walk for the Animals.
Help me reach my goal by making a donation to my fundraising page.
On behalf of Boomer and all the animals we can save, thank you.
